Michael D - 1 -

Michael was sent to me from a friend who's name I'm not going to mention.

She's like my secret weapon for getting hot models. And I want to keep her my secret.

Cheers.

Been On the Road

For what seems like . . . a month.

Which just so happens to me how long it's been since my last post.

I get back home to Atlanta this Friday with many more shots to edit from all over the country.

So more coming soon.

Meanwhile . . . check out DNA's online blog over the last few weeks for some of my shots.

Cheers.

Brett - 1 -

You'll notice at times I'll post a model's full name and at times I won't.

If a model wants their full name listed I do so. If not or if for whatever reason I can't reach them before I post I just leave the first name.

Brett is one model I couldn't reach as he is off in the military.

Which is a shame because I would love to work with him again.

I think what I like the most about Brett is how angry he can look in a shot. It may sound strange but I love it when a model looks like he or she won't take any shit off of anyone. In future shots you'll see him break out into huge grins which shows what a nice guy he really is.

Well, he was a nice guy to me. I can only assume that's how he acts with most people. =]

This location is one I've recently revisited for shots. I'm a big fan of it so I guess I need to stop shooting there.

This shoot also has one of my favorite shots I've taken - that being the one where his eyes are closed. I don't know why. But it works for me.

Also, a couple of these shots were originally seen on Blu.fm

Cheers

Kyle - 1 -

Kyle's that guy you want to hang out with and have a beer or two.

Maybe watch the game.

He's laid back and very funny. And he must work out hours and hours a day because he's in freaking crazy shape. He's another one who doesn't seem scared of anything.

And it turns out he's smart too.

That's just greedy.

Cheers.

Davis Albershardt - 1 -

Davis almost seems unreal.

His face alone looks like the fashion masters of the world got together and built the perfect jaw line.

He's one of those models who looks like his name if that makes any sense. Very Euro. Very lean. Blond. Blue Eyed. He's the perfect boy next door so long as you are living in say Munich or Berlin.

And of course he's in great shape. I guess by now that should just be a given.

What I really admire about him is his work ethic. He will never be the one to say "I'm done." And he is learning to take risks with shots and to trust the photographer in getting it right.

So at this point he is only going to get better and better.

Davis is currently signed with Wilhelmina Evolution in Charlotte, NC

These are bonus shots from Bello Mag's Summer Heat Issue created for the boys at OhLaLa and as a result even more shots are available at OhLaLa Mag itself.

Cheers

Love Comes from Bananarama

Kevin, my partner, is a huge fan of Bananarama.

I, of course, remember them from having hot guys in their videos. So when MTV would play their videos (back when they played videos) I always watched.

For the last few weeks he has been playing this song relentlessly. So much so that I can't get the song out of my head and find myself humming it randomly.

He wants to spread as much love of Bananarama as he can. He's sort of like a Mormon missionary for Bananaramaism.

And I want to help him in any way I can.

Cheers.

Pre-order Bananarama

Chris Glavich - 1 -

What to say about Chris?

I'm not sure there is anything out there that scares him. He's very comfortable with himself. Totally genuine. Speaks his mind. Loves his grandmother. He's honest. Athletic. Funny as all shit. Hot. Doesn't prejudge people.

Oh. And he's crazy.

Not bad crazy. But good crazy. Crazy in that way where if he says he's going to do something you better damn well believe he's going to do it.

Even if it's something you and I would be way too scared to try.

God I love this kid.

Cheers.

Scott Klein - 1 -

Sometimes you work with a model who is so unbelievably nice and laid back you almost forget you are shooting.

Those models must have learned it from Scott.

Originally from the Midwest and now living in Florida he is the type of person you instantly like. I can't imagine anyone not getting along with him. I can't imagine him not being in a good mood.

This is probably unfair since I really only spent part of a day with him. But that is what I came away with. It goes without saying he's very handsome and in ridiculous shape. Even his roommate (not a stranger to modeling himself) was nice. Scott's girlfriend must be, I don't know, even nicer? What? A saint?

I tend to drift from style to style in how I shoot and how I edit over the course of time.

This and the previous set are good examples of how I may get taken with a color and use it throughout a series of shots.

Cheers

Patrick Frost - 1 -

Of all the models I've worked with Patrick is one of the ones I've received the most email for.

He has a very distinct look and is definitely not a cookie cutter model. To me he is very black Irish which I think works well in this setting.

Often his build is the center of the shoot. I'll be posting more of those over the coming weeks and months. But I think it's a disservice to him to concentrate on just his physique. He has an equally amazing and interesting face.

So I present to you Mr. Patrick Frost. Cheers.

The Beginning

I've taken a lot of pictures but many of them never get to be seen.

I'll shoot a set of 500 or more for a spread and by the time it gets published it's edited down to a small handful. No complaints about that here mind you. That is what's supposed to happen. And the folks who edit them down make a tremendous effort to find the best shots possible. It's hard work and vey appreciated.

But that does leave me with some amazing shots of incredible models that do not get published. Shots certainly worth sharing. And that is what this blog is all about: sharing those extra shots that never were published (and maybe some that were never intended to be published).

I hope you enjoy them and the models who helped make them possible.

I would also like to thank all those who have sent kind words my way over the years because there was something in my work they appreciated on some level. Of course the person I need to thank for allowing me to walk down this path so many years ago is my partner Kevin. Without your help and the freedom you gave me this would never have been possible.

Cheers everyone
